Meet Sara:

Hello! Welcome to the part of the site where I talk about myself. (Awkward.)

I was born and raised in the PNW and nothing is more soothing to me than rainy days like the ones I grew up with.

For many years I made bespoke quilts which was a creative challenge that scratched a lovely artistic itch. And also, for many years, I taught reading to children and adults. A true joy.

I've also dabbled in a lovely direct sales company from France until they closed their US branch. I learned a lot about customer service, marketing, and the value of having a wonderful product that delivers on its claims.

Now, I'm full-time at ALKAA HQ in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York. The business education continues, and I'm excited to learn new things every day.

Paul and I have worked well together for 29 years while we raised our family and now we get to raise ALKAA!

Meet Paul:

Long story short: I love fixing things and solving problems. This started at an early age growing up in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. I was fortunate to work for my family's trucking company as a diesel mechanic where I learned the ins and outs of truck maintenance and repairs. What I learned in the shop was pivotal in my life's journey.

I'm not a heavy drinker, but I began to notice that when I did have a glass of wine, a beer, or some whisky it would make me feel terrible. There was the problem and I wanted to fix it. Jump to 2021. Sara and I are moving across the country to New York. I started to educate myself on why alcohol does this to people and what we could do to eliminate it. ALKAA was born after thousands of hours of research, development, laboratory testing, and real-world testing. Wine, beer, spirits and cocktails are now able to be enjoyed without any adverse side effects.
